Description

The Chinese version of Champion is a fuzzy, brown bear with black button eyes and a button nose with the flag of China on it. It wears a gold ribbon tied around it’s neck. On it’s chest is a button with the words “2002 FIFA World Cup” on it.

Champion the Bear was introduced on 4th April 2002.

There are 32 different versions of Champion, each representing the countries in the 2002 World Cup. This particular version represents China.

Each Champion bear was retired separately on the day their country was eliminated from the 2002 World Cup.

The Chinese Champion was retired on 4th June 2002.
