He was retired on 11th May 1997.
Garcia is thought to be named after the late Jerry Garcia and even shares his birth date of 1st August. Garcia was retired because of an alleged lawsuit against Ty for using the Garcia name without permission. Peace replaced Garcia on the same day Garcia was retired.
